Krewe of Cork Parade Day
February 13, 2004

Reception With Grand Marshall - 11 a.m.

The Mardi Gras parade day celebration is filled with the three things the Krewe loves most- Wine, Food, and Fun!  Rob Mondavi Jr. of the Robert Mondavi Winery in California will be the Grand Marshall and offer the first toast as the day begins at 11:00 AM with Bloody Marys and Champagne served atop the Jax Brewery on the Observation Deck overlooking the Mississippi River .

Court of Two Sisters for Lunch - Noon

 Then you will travel by horse drawn carriages to the Court of Two Sisters for lunch featuring New Orleans favorite cuisine and 10 selections of wine and champagne.  The captain will announce the winners of the costume contest while you enjoy the sounds of the famous jazz band Sensation.

The Parade thru the Streets of the French Quarter

The day continues as we parade through the French Quarter donning wine and grape related costumes.  Four stops along the parade route will refresh you with additional wine selections provided by the generous sponsors. 

King And Queen’s Party - 5 p.m.

The event culminates with a King and Queen’s party beginning at 5:00 at the Omni Royal Orleans Garden Terrace.  Listen to the Motown sounds of Sha’On and the Girls with Success.  This 12-piece band will surely have you dancing the night away.  Satisfy any hungers with a gourmet spread of roast beef, fire roasted oysters, a wild mushroom pasta station, and Mediterranean Antipasto selections.  Once again, we thank our event sponsors for the generous selection of wines and champagnes featured at the King and Queen’s Party.
